INTENTIONALLY FLAWED

At age 12 when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was limited to the information given by my parents I guess because they were trying to protect us. Now i look back and it all makes sense really. My mothers illness back then was painful for us to understand however because she went through that process it paved the way to my awareness of the disease.

Often when you experience hurtful challenges like the death of your husband naturally you question God and then you start to blame other people as you trace your steps back to see if your actions could have prevented the cause of his death. But along the way God begins to put all the pieces together for you and only then does it all make sense. It's like a pair of stone washed jeans basically a new pair of manufactured jean is put through a process to achieve a worn out appearance. Note that it was beautiful in its originl state and at the end of the process a different kind of  jeans emerged with a more beautiful look...... Yes it was intentionally flawed for the beauty.

The book of Job let's us into the life of a man who feared God, he was the greatness man in world. He was wealthy and had 3 daughters and 7 sons. But in-spite of all of his blessings he suffered a great deal. The devil wanted to prove to God that the only reason Job feared God was because everything in his life seemed perfect, however if God was to strike Job surely he will get angry and curse God to his face. God allowed the devil to attack Job to prove Job's faithfulness towards God and the devil afflicted Job in so many ways and all of his 10 children were wiped off. Now in-spite of all that came upon him Job was still faithful he prayed and thanked God. Note that It is very important whom you allow speak into your situation, for example Jobs wife challenged him to curse God and die perhaps because she had written him off  and could not see the purpose of his living however Job challenged his wife and told her she was speaking foolish. He also challenged his wife asking her if it was okay to only accept the good things from God and not the bad things still Job remained faithful to God. Isn't it interesting how some people write you off.

At a particular time a friend, had passed a few comments about my current situation, very hurtful words that made me cry. I was so disappointed in her but although not shocked. I believe it was more painful because she was a close friend and i trusted her so much. But then God opened my eyes to understand the reasons behind all she had said and instantly God restored my peace.  You see when challenges come as it will, you must make the decision to run to God, and God will  release all the pervious experiences you have passed through to help you deal with the future and as you look ahead you begin to understand why you were intentionally flawed.

You may say no one understands the kind of death your husband experienced and at the present time you are unable to see how God will use it for your purpose well thats understandable however, if you can just look back at where you have come from to where you are now I believe things will become a lot more clearer.  Job 5: 8-9 tells us to plead our case before God, he performs miracles and move the world for us. For as many trials you face do not be discouraged God has need for you. Job 5:17-26 informs us of the promises of God and the same God who allows your trials is the same God who compensates with mighty it testimonies.

Every situation in our lives have a purpose and a life line to it, and so sisters do hang in there knowing God is the only one that will never fail. I encourage you to see Jesus in your challenges and have the determination to rise above it all.
